This page is dedicated to Melanie McIver and her annoying sickly sweet self. She is the sister of Lindsay Rappaport. Melanie comes off as the most honest and caring person but some, including her sister think differently. Right now, Melanie or Lanie as she is also called, has "feelings for Bo Buchanan, the former fiance of her sister. Lanie slept with Bo before she even knew his name. So much for a saint and true heroine as she has been called. This character has only been on the show for a little over 5 months now and she grates on my nerves. So I have created this page in honor of my disgust for her.
Lanie: The Week in Review, 2/23/01
Fortunately, we have been seeing less and less of Lanie lately. Lanie thought she was being clever by telling Lindsay if you tell me your secret, I'll tell you mine. But she got played. Lindsay turned the tables,a nd then Lanie claimed to have an epiphany and realized Lindsay had no intention of confession. And that was right, no more than Lanie intended on either. Lanie can't even keep her lies straight. First Colin wasn't blackmailing her, then he was. I really hope Lindsay finds out that secret soon. Lanie can leave Llanview in shame. She can go back to Cherryvale, which is either a 2 hour train ride or 2 minute walk from Llanvew, it's kind of hard to tell these days. What will Lanie do next week? Confess her secret or fight even harder to keep it buried? She'll do the latter because that's what sickly sweet phonies like her do.
